The Facors Affecting the Length of Dehydration in Holstein Fizian Cattle in Kharabu Farm

| Abstract |
The study was conducted at the Kharabu farm (Faculty of Agriculture - University of Damascus) using 531 records of the Holstein Frisian cows during the period from 1982 to 2008. The data were subjected to the General Linear Model. Contrast analysis was used to study the effect of the year of birth, the separation of the birth, the production season, and their interactions during the drying period. The overall mean length of the drying period was 76.88 ± 2.22 days in the Holstein Friesban cows at Kharabu farm. The results of the study showed a significant effect (P <0.05) year of birth, high morale (P <0.01) production season, while there was no significant effect for both the delivery interval and the interaction of the factors studied in the length of the drying period in the Holstein Frisian cows at the Kharabu farm. It is concluded that improved care and management methods can shorten the length of the drying period and reduce the effect of the years of birth during the drying period, which will positively reflect the productive performance and economic return of the plant. | الملخص |
أجريت الدراسة في مزرعة خرابو (كلية الزراعة - جامعة دمشق) باستخدام 531 سجلاً لأبقار الهولشتاين فريزيان خلال الفترة الممتدة من عام 1982 وحتی عام 2008. أخضعت البيانات إلى النموذج الخطي العام General Linear Model، واستخدم تحليل التباين لدراسة تأثير سنة الولادة، وفصل الولادة، وموسم الإنتاج، وتفاعلاتها المشتركة في طول فترة التجفيف، واستخدم اختبار Duncan لمقارنة المتوسطات، واستخدم لذلك الغرض برنامج SPSS
بلغ المتوسط العام لطول فترة التجفيف 76.88±2.22 يوماً في أبقار الهولشتاین فریزبان في مزرعة خرابو، أظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود تأثير معنوي (0.05>P ) السنة الولادة، وعالي المعنوية (P< 0.01 ) الموسم الإنتاج، في حين لم يكن هناك تأثيرا معنويا لكل من فصل الولادة، والتداخل بين العوامل المدروسة في طول فترة التجفيف في أبقار الهولشتاين فريزيان في مزرعة خرابو. يستنتج أن تحسين طرائق الرعاية والإدارة يمكن أن يقصر طول فترة التجفيف، ويقلل من تأثير سنوات الولادة في فترة التجفيف، مما ينعكس إيجابا على الأداء الإنتاجي والعائد الاقتصادي للمحطة.
