The study was conducted on 120 random samples (40 For each of muscle cervicis  , liver and  kidney ), which were collected from 40 carcass (20 male sheep and20 calves) from Palmyra region of Homs Governorate and Alhmra region of Hama Governorate . for detection contamination by lead samples were tested using atomic  absorbation technique . results showed a proportional increasl of lead concentration in liver , kidney , and muscles respectively .

Contaminated level, was higher in calves comparing to male sheep

These means ,The average of values in liver ,kidney and muscle were 1.4040,1.6397and 1.9010mg/kg respectively.

and in male sheep were 1.5613,1.1127 and 1.3747 mg/kg respectively  , Muscle samples in  Alhmra region only were greater than Permissible limit while liver and kidney were within Permissible limit

The concentration Palmyra samples in calves , liver ,kidney and muscle meat 0.319-0.346 and 0.385mg/kg and in sheep male were0.243-0.277and 0.31mg/kg . Muscle samples in Palmyra region only were greater than Permissible limit while liver and kidney were within Permissible limit

تم بصورة عشوائية جمع 120 عينة (40 عينة من عضلات الرقبة و40 عينة من الكبد و40 عينة من الكلى) من 40 ذبيحة (20 خراف و20عجول) من منطقة تدمر بمحافظة حمص ومنطقة الحمرا بمحافظة حماة  وذلك لكشف التلوث بعنصر الرصاص وتم فحص هذه العينات بواسطة جهاز الامتصاص الذري (AAS) وقد أظهرت نتائج البحث ارتفاع نسبة التلوث بالرصاص في الكبد والكلى و العضلات على التوالي ولقد كانت العجول الأكثر تلوثاً عن الخراف وكان متوسط القيم للكبد والكلى والعضلات في العجول بمنطقة الحمرا (0.385 – 0.346 – 0.319)ملغ/كغ على التوالي , وعند الخراف (0.333 – 0.322 0.291)ملغ/كغ على التوالي  فكانت عينات العضلات فقط بالحمرا أعلى من الحد المسموح به أما عينات الكبد والكلى ضمن الحد المسموح به.
