تسعى المنظمات بشكل مستمر لخفض تكاليف منتجاتها كأحد أساليب تعزيز قدرتها التنافسية , حيث يؤدي الاستغلال الأمثل للطاقات الانتاجية الى تخفيض التكاليف الثابتة من جهة , والاستفادة القصوى من الإمكانات والقدرات الانتاجية المتاحة في المنظمات  من جهة ثانية .يهدف البحث الى دراسة أثر تخطيط الطاقات الانتاجية في الصناعات النسيجية كأداة فعالة لخفض تكاليف الانتاج لتعزيز القدرات التنافسية ,ناقش البحث مشكلة الاستغلال الضعيف للطاقات الانتاجية في الصناعات النسيجية السورية من خلال فرضية تنص على وجود أثر ذو دلالة إحصائية بين واقع استغلال الطاقات الانتاجية في المنشآت  النسيجية السورية وضعف قدرتها التنافسية ,وقد تم اختبار الفرضية من خلال استبيان تم توزيعه على أفراد العينة في أحد الشركات النسيجية ,ليتم تحليل النتائج باستخدام البرامج الاحصائية SPSS,وخلص البحث الى أن هناك ضعف في استغلال الطاقات الانتاجية وأن هذا الضعف هو من أسباب ارتفاع التكاليف في الصناعة النسيجية والذي يشكل أحد العوامل الهامة والتي تنعكس على القدرة التنافسية ,بالإضافة الى مجموعة أخرى من النتائج والمقترحات تم الإشارة اليها  في نهاية البحث .
