It . This article deals with the concept of text in Arabic culture of begins with the linguistic meaning and collects the various senses to the word. Then it shows the semantic development from the physical the the mental, and traces the terminological meaning of text in to various fields of our Arabic culture. After this the article moves talk about the term text in contemporary linguistic study and its relationship to the western culture, on the one hand clarifies heritage, on the other. This is done in terms of and to the Arabic between the old and the contemporary both the relationship relationship between the common terminological meaning and the terminological meaning of the linguistic meanings and the contemporary concludes with a certain term in the Arab world. يعالج البحث مفهوم النص في الثقافة العربية , فيبدأ بالمعنى اللغوي و يرصد الدلالات المتنوعة للكلمة , ثم يبين كيفية التطور الدلالي من الحسي إلى الذهني , كما يتتبع الدلالة الاصطلاحية في الميادين الثقافية المتنوعة من ثقافتنا العربية , ثم ينتقل إلى الحديث عن مصطلح النص في الدرس اللغوي المعاصر , و يبين علاقة ذلك بالثقافة الغربية من جهة و بالتراث العربي من جهة أخرى , من جيث العلاقة بين الدلالة الاصطلاحية القديمة و المعاصرة , و من حيث العلاقة بين المعاني اللغوي الشائعة في البيئة العربية و الدلالة الاصطلاحية المعاصرة , و أخيراً يخلص البحث غلى تصور معين يصوغ مفهوم النص بتعريف النص بتعريف محدد .
