This research studies the reality of Demographic youth in The Province of Deir Ezzor and shows the changes occurring during the period 1994-2010, It also demonstrates the effect of this phenomenon in the economic and social development by showing the demographic investment we need to face population growth in the fields of health education and housing. 

We have found that the Demographic youth average in The Province of Deir Ezzor is very high despite the changes occurring during the period 1994-2010, which reach to (43.7)%. That's due to the increase of population growth average . We have also found that the Demographic youth average in The Province of Deir Ezzor forms a burden on the development It decreases the economic activity rate and increases the economic dependency rate, and increases the volume of needs in the fields of education, health and housing, as well as the demographic investments required to address them. The demographic investment required to meet the needs in the educational (first- stage schools), health and housing fields in Deir Ezzor forms (4,48) times of its gross national products.

يتناول هذا البحث دراسة واقع الفتوة الديمغرافية في محافظة دير الزور وبيان التغيرات الحاصلة فيها خلال الفترة 1994-2010. ومن ثم بيان اثر هذه الظاهرة في التنمية ,من خلال اظهار الاستثمار الديمغرافي الذي نحتاجه لمواجهة الزيادة السكانية في مجالات الصحة والتعليم والسكن .وقد تبين لنا من الدراسة ارتفاع معدل الفتوة الديمغرافية بشكل كبير جدا في محافظة دير الزور ,بالرغم من التغيرات التي اصابتها خلال فترة الدراسة حيث بلغت (43,7)%.ويرجع ارتفاعها الى ارتفاع معدل النمو السكاني رغم الانخفاض الحاصل فيه اذ تجاوز (32)بالالف خلال فترة الدراسة .وبالدراسة نلاحظ ان الفتوة الديمغرافية في دير الزور تشكل عبئا على التنمية .فهي ادت الى انخفاض معدل النشاط الاقتصادي وارتفاع معدل الاعالة الاقتصادية ,وزيادة كبيرة في حجم الاحتياجات في المجال التعليمي والصحي والسكني وكذلك حجم الاستثمارات الديمغرافية اللازمة لمواجهتها ويشكل الاستثمار الديمغرافي اللازم في مجالات التعليم (الحلقة الاولى ) والصحة والمساكن في دير الزور (4,48)اضعاف مجمل ناتجها المحلي .
