The research attempted to discuss one aspect of the deletion phenomenon that is common in Arabic language; it's the irregular deletion of preposition. It illustrated the analogical deletion, and then decided the irregular deletion of its schools of the grammarians and its kinds with respect to the function of the preposition or its deletion, and types of speech, whether it's prose or verse. Moreover, the research showed the types of verbs where the preposition is deleted more, and the prepositions which are likely to be deleted, without leaving out to mention some conditions of deletion and its advantages. Then it concluded with the manifestation of the more significant findings.

حاول البحث أن يعالج جانبا واحدا من ظاهرة الحذف شائعة في العربية هو حذف حرف الجر سماعا ,فبين الحذف القياسي , تم فصل القول في الحذف السماعي حيث تناول مذاهب النحاة فيه , وانواعه من حيث بقاء عمل الجر وزواله , ومن حيث أنواع الكلام , شعرا كان أو نثرا , وبين انواع الافعال التي يكثر معها حذف حرف الجر , والاحرف التي يكثر حذفها , دون ان يغفل ذكر بعض شروط الحذف وفوائده , ثم ختم ببيان أهم النتائج .
