Raw Meat often contains micro-organism which may cause disease. Klebsiella spp. can lead to wide range of disease states, notably pneumonia, urinary tract infections (UTIS), and bacteremia. A total number of 55 meats -chicken- samples were collected from the meats shops present in the different area in Damascus and countryside in a sterile container. Colonies of the microorganisms were counted on difference media then isolated Klebsiella from a selective media. The colonies of Klebsiella isolated are circular, dome-shaped. 3-4 mm diameter with mucoid aspect, stickiness and surrounded by capsule, after this we chose the typical colony to identified it by using Polymerase chain reaction PCR and biochemical tests. Our results showed that 38% of examined specimen contained Klebsiella spp.

غالبا ما يحتوى اللحم الخام على الكائنات الحية الدقيقة التي تسبب الأمراض .ومن ضمنها الكلبسيلة Klebsiella   spp والتي يمكن أن تسبب العديد من الحالات المرضية ,ولاسيما الالتهاب  الرئوي ,انتانات المسالك البولية ,وتجرثم الدم .تم جمع 55عينة من عينات لحم الدجاج من متاجر بيع اللحوم في دمشق وريفها ,ضمن أوعية معقمة ,ثم تم احصاء عدد المستعمرات بعد زرع اللحوم على أوساط مختلفة ,وثم تم عزل الكلبسيلة على وسط انتقائي .ان شكل مستعمرات الكلبسيلة المعزولة دائرية محدبة قطرها 3_4 مم ,ذات حواف مخاطية ولزجة ,وتكون محاطة بمحفظة .ومن ثم تم تحديد هويتها من خلال التفاعل السلسي للبوليميراز PCR,والاختبارات الحيوية الكيمائية .وقد أضهرت النتائج أن حوالي 38% من العينات المدروسة تحوي جراثيم الكلبسيلة .
