 This research was conducted to study the level of social awareness in countrymen so that we can determined the efficiency of rural development ant its effectiveness. Based on the previously said, the main aim of the research was to study of awareness in political, healthy, ecological, and social aspects with rural socialized university female students at faculty of agriculture, in Aleppo university.

The main aim was realized by achieving the following sum aims:

1. determining the socio- economical factors that affects the awareness of economics, politics knowledge component), politics (opinion component), health field (knowledge component), health field (opinion component), ecology field (knowledge  component), and ecology field (opinion component).

2. Setting up indicator for social awareness at rural female university students, and determining the socio-economical factors affect on this indicator.

The field research was conducted at faculty of agriculture in Aleppo university in Syria. A random sample of 65 rural-socialized university female students was drawn.

Data were collected by personal interview using questionnaire during April-may in 2005.

Data were quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed to calculate ranges, ratios, averages, standard deviations, correlations, and t-test. The measures were tested at 0.05 and 0.01 levels of confidence.

The following results were shown by the research:

 1- There was relationship between the economical awareness indicator and sharing in different activities at confidence level of 0.05.

 2- There were relationships between the political awareness indicator (knowledge component) and each of family type, and sharing in different activities at confidence level of 0.05.

تم الوصول إلى هذا الهدف العام من خلال تحقيق الأهداف الفرعية التالية:

أ‌- تحديد العوامل الاقتصادية والاجتماعية المؤثرة على الوعي الاقتصادي،والسياسي،والصحي،والبيئي لدى الفتيات الريفيات.

ب‌- بناء مؤشر للوعي المجتمعي لدى الفتيات الريفيات وتحديد العوامل الاقتصادية والاجتماعية المؤثرة عليه.

لقد أجريت الدراسة الميدانية في كلية الزراعة في جامعة حلب في سوريا، حيث تم سحب عينة عشوائية مؤلفة من 65 مبحوثة تمثل الطالبات ذوات النشأة الريفية في كلية الزراعة. 

وجمعت البيانات بطريقة المقابلة الشخصية باستخدام استمارة استبيان تكونت من ثمانية أقسام رئيسية. وقد تم إجراء اختبار مبدئي للاستمارة للتحقق من صلاحيتها في قياس المتغيرات المختلفة المفترضة للتحقق من صدق وثبات هذا القياس.
