The goal of current research is to identify the level Mastery Motivation in children with Down syndrome according to their caregivers in Special Education Centre for the mentally disabled in kudsia and Tall in the province of Damascus and it aimed to identify the differences between two genders (male-female) in Mastery, the sample consisted of (41) children with Down syndrome, the number of males was (20) and the females were (21), their IQ were ranged between (50-75) and they were classified as simple mentally disabled, aged between (7-9) years. The Dimensions Of Mastery Questionnaire (DMQ) has been applied (prepared by George Morgan 1990, translated by the researcher) and it consisted of (40) items which measure (6) dimensions of Mastery Motivation, it has been found accepted reliability and validity for the objectives of this study.

The results of study indicated that the most higher Dimensions Of Mastery Motivation in children with Down syndrome (the sample of this study), were Social Persistence with Children, Social Persistence with Adults, Mastery Pleasure, Negative Reactions to Failure, Gross Motor

هدف البحث الى التعرف على مستوى الدافعية للإتقان لدى اطفال متلازمة داون من وجهة نظر القائمين عليهم في مراكز التربية الخاصة في محافظة ريف دمشق (قدسيا _التل ),كما هدفت الى التعرف على الفروق بين الجنسين (ذكور –اناث ) في الدافعية للإتقان .
