The research was carried out during the 2017-2018 seasons in Deir El-Zour Forestry Department to study the effect of different cold-stratification treatments on plum seeds germination after stratification for different periods (15-25-35 45) days starting in February, considering the stratification period of (15) days as a blank.

The results showed that the stratification period of (45) days gave the least germination period (18.4) compared with other treatment (15-25-35) significantly, and the highest germination rate 83.33% compared with other treatment (15-25 35) significantly, and the least period for true leaves appearance (4.2) compared with other treatment (15-25-35) significantly, and the highest mean length of the seedling (14.64-6.76 cm) recorded after (10-20) days compared with other treatment (15-25-35), and the highest average number of real leaves (4.91-2.91) after (10 20) days compared with other treatment (15-25-35).
