       This research discusses a common linguistic process in most languages. It is linguistic borrowing. This process has a relation to Arabic language, its structure, and issues resulting when being arranged in an Arabic linguistic dictionary. The research defines borrowing, linguistically and terminologically, sorting its types (the Arabized and the literally-token terms). It reveals reasons of borrowing, and languages that borrowed from Arabic and lent it. It also probes in the origins of such words that traveled among languages to return as new words to their languages of origin. In the last part of the research, the discussion takes the example of borrowed words in Arabic case and the structure of Arabic in a try to see how this creates an issue in listing such words in Arabic linguistic dictionaries. This issue emerges due to the structure of Arabic that is different from many other languages, especially, modern non-Semitic languages.

       يتناول البحث ظاهرةً الاقتراض اللغويّ التي لا تخلو لغةٌ منها، وعلاقة هذه الظاهرة باللغة العربيّة وبنائها وما ينتج عنها من إشكال في قضيّة الترتيب في المعجم اللغويّ العربيّ، ويتناول تعريف الاقتراض لغةً واصطلاحاً، وأنواع المقترضات (المعرّب والدخيل)، والحديث عن أسباب الاقتراض اللغويّ، ثمّ اللغات التي أقرضتها واقترضت منها العربيّة، وثمّ البحث في أصول المقترضات التي قد تدور بين أكثر من لغة حتّى تعود إلى لغتها الأصليّة على نحوٍ جديد، وفي المبحث الأخير الحديث عن المقترضات وبناء العربيّة، وما يُسبّبه من إشكال في الترتيب في المعاجم اللغويّة العربيّة، وذلك لما للعربيّة من بناء يختلف عن كثير من اللغات التي يقترض منها خاصّة اللغات غير الساميّة المعاصرة.
