The early poets of Abbasi era had breathed the fragrance of science since their childhood. They received their sciences from the scholars of their countries and realized the sciences of those who preceeded them, therefore, they became well-informed in language and made evidences of what they invented, then moved to poetry rhythm. They invented meters that were unknown before, such as Maktathab, Modara'a and Al Motdark. Their mental education exceeded the borders of Arab Peninsula to Persia, Greek and India to take from their sciences things that give more beauty to their poetry. Al Maatazela with their mental richness presented to poets a great philosophical subject that enriched their poetic dictionary, then the educated poetry came after that as a result of mental abilities of Al Molladeen.

تنسم الشعراء المحدثون، منذ النشأة الأولى، شذا عرف العلم، فاختلفوا إلى علماء أمصارهم يكتسبون معارف الزمان، فتأصلت علوم المتقدمين في أذهانهم، فإذا بهم يجتهدون في اللغة، ويقيمون الحجج والعلل فيما أبدعوه، ثم مضوا إلى موسيقا الشعر، فابتكروا أوزانا لم تكن معروفة من قبل كالمقتضب، والمضارع، والمتدارك. وتجاوزت ثقافتهم العقلية حدود الجزيرة العربية إلى الفرس واليونان والهنود ليأخذوا من علومهم ما يزيد أيكة شعرهم نماء وجمالا. وكان للمعتزلة، بترفهم العقلية، ما قدم للشعراء مادة فلسفية غزيرة أغنوا بها معجمهم الشعري، ثم جاء بعد ذلك الشعر التعليمي كثمرة إبداع لقدرات ذهنية فذة عند المحدثين.
