The study aimed to identify Status and Opinions of Supervisors of Extension Units in Syrian Seashore. Through their personal and technical Characteristics, to know areas subjects and functions of extension work. And to know various barriers which challenge extension work, and their suggestions to resolve it.

The study was requested to design questionnaire for Supervisors of Extension Units . The total number of completed questionnaires (113) respondents. The process of data collection was started in April and it was completed in May 2009.

The most important results of study areas as follow: about (63.4%) of respondent old aged, about (61.9%)of them had more 20 years as a professional job. About (68%) exposed to extension training courses, (63.6%) of them exposed to 5 courses and less. The most of extension units(56.6%) serve 5 villages and more, about(51.3%) of it serve 1000 families and more. The most applied functions repeating to extension work were planning and imply extension programs(92.9%), the most technical and managerial barriers repeating were far instances and lack of transport tools (76.1%), and the most barriers of farmers treating were habitation out of farins and employ in none agricultural work(35.4%).

استهدفت الدراسة التعرف على واقع وآراء مشرفي الوحدات الإرشادية في الساحل السوري من خلال التعرف على خصائصهم الشخصية والفنية وواقع الوحدات الإرشادية، والتعرف على المجالات والموضوعات التي يهتم بها الجهاز الإرشادي والوظائف التي ينفذها، والتعرف على مشكلات العمل الإرشادي ومقترحات حلها.
