This research is based on an applied semantic approach dealing with an important issue that has ubiquitously appeared in all 7 vols. of Kheireddin al-Asadi’s Aleppo Comparative Encyclopedia. It is an issue which was not given due attention by any other creative authors before al-Asadi, namely the Aleppine nuptial chants. Since the aim of this research is to explore the secrets of the Aleppine Non-tangible cultural Heritage that is written in the vernacular, modern linguistic awareness requires a re-reading of this encyclopedia based on the findings of modern linguistics with its various theories, such as the theory of semantics which depends, to a large extent, on statistics, in addition to other theories. Since this research is aimed at studying the Aleppine environment in its social, religious, economic, cultural, and political dimensions, through a verbally transmitted folkloric genre, namely the nuptial chants, it becomes necessary to look at the Aleppine vernaculars which embraced this genre. The intention is to have a look at this genre through a descriptive semantic approach as well as an applied analytic one.

يرتكز هذا البحث على دراسة دلالية تطبيقية، تعرض فنًّا من فنون القول الشعبيّة الشفاهيّة (الهنهونة الحلبيّة)، تناثر على صفحات (موسوعة حلب المقارِنة) لمحمّد خير الدين الأسدي بأجزائها السبعة، لم يتنبّه إليه غيره من المبدعين السابقين. وإذا كان الغرض من هذا البحث الكشفَ عن أسرار التراث الثقافي الحلبي اللامادّي المدوّن باللهجة الحلبيّة الدارجة، فإنّ الوعي اللغوي المعاصر يوجب استعادة قراءته في هذه الموسوعة، استنادًا إلى معطيات علم اللغة الحديث، الذي يحفل بنظريات كثيرة كنظرية السياق، ونظرية الحقول الدلالية التي تعتمد اعتمادًا كبيرًا على فكرة الإحصاء، وظاهرة التكرار وغيرهما. وبما أنّ البحث متّجه أصلًا إلى دراسة البيئة الحلبيّة بأبعادها الاجتماعية، والدينية، والاقتصادية، والطبيعية، والثقافية، والسياسية، كان لزامًا التوقّف عند اللهجة الحلبيّة التي احتضنت هذا اللون من الأدب الشعبي، بغية النظر إليها نظرة لغوية دلالية وفق منهج وصفي، ودرس تطبيقي تحليلي.
