The Effect of Adding Sesame Hull to the Rations of Awassi lambs on Some Production Indicators including Carcass Characteristics

| Abstract |
This study was carried out at Kharabo research station, faculty of Agriculture, Damascus university in order to study the effect of partial substitution of concentrates with increasing levels of sesame hull in the rations of growing Awassi Lambs on some productive characteristics. for this end 18 Awassi Lambs (mean age and weight, 90days and 23.66 Kg) were used randomly in 3 groups (each group containing 2X3 Lambs) and fed the ration on the basis of 3 levels of sesame hull inclusion (0, 15, 25% respectively). Results showed non significant increase (0.05<P) regarding the final mean live weight, total weight increase, average daily gain, feed conversion coefficient, dressings, and pistola-, For the experimental groups I (15%) and 2 (25%) compared to the control group (0% sesame hull). On the other hand, The cost of I Kg live weight production was decreased, however, the profitability indicator was increased.
It is concluded that the partial substitution mentored above does not affect the nutritive value and feed intake of the ration. Hence, this makes sesame hull an important agricultural by-product that is recommended to be used in the fattening rations of lambs. | الملخص |
نفذ هذا البحث في محطة خرابو (كلية الزراعة _جامعة دمشق ) بأستخدام (18) حملا من أغنام العواس ,متوسط أعمارها 90 يوما ,وتراوح متوسط أوزانها في بداية التجربة ما بين26.42و26.08 كغ , وزعت الحملان عشوائيا في ثلاث مجموعات على أساس ثلاث مستويات من نسبة قشرة السمسم في الخلطات العلفية (%25,15,0). وبواقع مكررين لكل مجموعة وبمعدل ثلاث حملان في كل مكرر . وذلك لدراسة وتأثير استبدال قشرة السمسم بنسب مختلفة في العلائق التجريبية الأولى والثانية بدلا من عليقة الشاهد ,ودراسة تأثير ذلك في بعض المؤشرات الانتاجية ومواصفات الذبيحة .بينت نتائج البحث وجود زيادة غير معنوية (p>0.05) لكل من متوسط الوزن الحر النهائي والزيادة الوزنية الكلية ,ومعدل النمو اليومي ,ومعامل تحويل العلف ونسبة التصافي والتشافي لمجموعات الحملان التجريبية 1و2 مقارنة بمجموعة حملان الشاهد ,ومن ناحية أخرى انخفضت تكلفة انتاج 1كغ وزن حي وزاد مؤشر الربح . يستنتج ان الاستبدال الجزئي لعليقة مجموعة حملان الشاهد المركزة بقشرة السمسم لم يؤثر في القيمة الغذائية و واستساغة الحيوانات للعليقة ,وهذا يجعلها أحدى أهم مخلفات تصنيع المنتجات الزراعية والتي يوصي باستخدامها في العلائق المركزة لتسمين المجترات الصغيرة (الحملان) .
