Effect of Using Applications of Computing Cloud on Academic Achievement in Science for The Sixth Grade Pupils An Experimental Study

| Abstract |
The aim of the current research is to study the effect of using cloud computing applications on educational achievement in science among sixth grade students. To achieve this goal, the researcher chose an educational unit from the science curriculum for the sixth grade, then designed it in the form of a cloud application within the (Google Drive) environment, relying in the design process on the (ADDIE) model, then the researcher prepared an achievement test that verified its validity and reliability. The research sample consisted of three groups; A control group (n = 33) learns the scientific content using the usual method. A first experimental group (n = 32) learns the same content using the cloud computing application designed in the current research in the computer room and in the presence of the teacher; And a second experimental group (n=32) learning the same content using remote cloud computing. The researcher applied the achievement test to the research groups before and after the education process, relying on the experimental method. The study reached the following results: - There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students of the three groups (the control, the first and the second experimental) in the immediate post-application of the achievement test, and these differences are in favor of the first experimental group that learned the science unit using cloud computing applications in the computer hall.

| الملخص |
هدف البحث الحالي إلى دراسة أثر استخدام تطبيقات الحوسبة السحابية في التحصيل العلمي في العلوم لدى تلاميذ الصف السادس الأساسي؛ ولتحقيق هذا الهدف، اختيرت وحدة تعليمية من منهج العلوم المقرر للصف السادس الأساسي، ثم صممت في صورة تطبيق سحابي. تألفت عينة البحث من ثلاث مجموعات؛ مجموعة ضابطة (n=33) تتعلم المحتوى العلمي (دروس الوحدة التعليمية) باستخدام الطريقة المعتادة. مجموعة تجريبية أولى (n=32) تتعلم المحتوى نفسه باستخدام تطبيق الحوسبة السحابية المصمم في البحث الحالي في قاعة الحاسوب؛ ومجموعة تجريبية ثانية(n=32) تتعلم المحتوى نفسه باستخدام تطبيق الحوسبة السحابية ولكن من بعد، ثمّ طُبّق الاختبار التحصيلي على مجموعات البحث قبل عملية التعليم وبعدها فورياً وبشكل مؤجل، وذلك اعتماداً على المنهج التجريبي، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى النتائج الآتية: – توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات تلاميذ المجموعات الثلاث (الضابطة والتجريبيتين الأولى والثانية) في التطبيق البعدي الفوري للاختبار التحصيلي، وهذه الفروق لصالح المجموعة التجريبية الأولى التي تعلمت وحدة العلوم باستخدام تطبيقات الحوسبة السحابية في قاعة الحاسوب.
– توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات تلاميذ المجموعات الثلاث (الضابطة والتجريبيتين الأولى والثانية) في التطبيق البعدي المؤجل للاختبار التحصيلي، وهذه الفروق لصالح المجموعة التجريبية الثانية التي تعلمت وحدة العلوم باستخدام تطبيقات الحوسبة السحابية من بعد.
نتائج أخرى توصل إليها البحث الحالي، يمكن الاطلاع عليها بشكل مفصل في متن البحث، وفي ضوء النتائج اقترح البحث ضرورة استخدام الحوسبة السحابية في العملية التعليمية.
